AQUARIUM ORNAMENTS

Ornaments in the aquarium can be for novelty, appearance and/or to meet the needs of the aquarium occupants.  Some fish require caves or hiding places in order to avoid stress, for example.  Spending time on the appearance of the tank is often a source of great joy to the aquarium hobbyist, and many result in a true work of art.  You can enhance your aquarium ornaments with fake or live plants.

When selecting ornaments it is best to use items designed for aquatic use.  When considering items like driftwood, seashells and rocks, research is crucial so you are aware of how the addition will impact your system, such as lowering or elevating your Ph levels.
